Tell us about your accomplishments since graduating from BHS.
After graduating I began taking classes at Southeastern Community College. This summer I transferred to Indian Hills Community College with plans to obtain my degree as an occupational therapy assistant. I currently work at Balance Autism as an Autism Associate, and last summer I competed in the Miss Iowa Scholarship Organization as Miss Burlington 2022.
During your time at BHS, did you have a favorite staff member who had a positive impact on you? Tell us about them.
Mr. Overly helped me so much in math class throughout high school. He even continued to tutor me throughout college last semester and I couldn’t be more thankful for his commitment and dedication to helping me.
Do you have any advice for recent and future graduates?
Life might not take you quite where you expect after graduating and that’s okay. Never compare yourself to anyone else because everyone’s path is different, and that’s okay!
How did your time at BHS impact your adult life?
I really enjoyed choir and participating in the theater productions at BHS. I recently got back into acting through Player’s Workshop and am so happy I get to keep performing even after high school ended.
