Our Lady Grayhounds are known for their tenacity, teamwork, and dedication both on and off the court.

The BHS Girls Basketball program is committed to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel in athletics, academics, and character. Our coaches and players work tirelessly to create a culture of excellence, pushing each other to reach new heights with every practice and game.

From our varsity squad to our developmental teams, we foster an environment where young women can grow their basketball skills, leadership abilities, and love for the game.

Meet the Coach

Coach Adriana Mafra signals to her players during a basketball game.

I played basketball for 25 years and I naturally started to coaching when I was done playing. I am from Brazil and back in my country I coached the U16 and U18 national team in a few occasions and also I coached a girls high school, college and travel team before I moved to United States in 2022. This will be my second year as a high school coach and I am very excited to keep working with the girls after a great first year.

Basketball is part of my life and gave me more than I could ever imagined. Besides all the great experiences around the world, basketball taught me discipline, resilience, respect and to how to work as a team. I know how important and great sports can be in any kid’s life, so I hope to help them to have the best experience that they can playing basketball.
