Because community support for education can best be established through a public that understands and is active in school affairs, all efforts of the school system must be directed toward maintaining open communications. It shall therefore be the policy of the board to insure that:

1. Attitudes, concerns, and expectations of community residents can be readily secured and that

2. Information on the objectives, achievements, needs, and conditions of the school system will be disseminated to the community.

To accomplish this goal the superintendent, or designee, shall be responsible for coordinating a continuous program of two-way communications among the various internal and external publics served by the district.

Administrators and supervisors within all of the offices, schools, and departments of the district shall be charged with carrying out this program within their respective areas of responsibility.
