The board recognizes that student participation in civic and community affairs is educationally beneficial to students. Therefore, the board encourages student participation in public performances, provided such performances contribute to the educational processes and objectives of the school district, and provided they do not unduly interfere with the students’ program of studies.
The following guidelines shall apply:
1. All performances shall be approved by the immediate administrator.
2. The extended use of one particular group should be discouraged.
3. Extensive travel by any one group should be discouraged.
4. Student groups below the senior high school level should engage in public activities on a very limited scale only.
