Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement and/or employee handbook shall be entitled to personal and emergency leaves of absence in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and/or handbook.

Employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement, other than temporary employees, shall be entitled to personal and emergency leaves of absence as set by the board of directors. Personal leaves of absence days do not require reasons to be given, but the administrator or supervisor may limit the number of employees taking personal leave at the same time, may limit the days on which they may be taken, and may establish rules for requesting leave in accordance with the employee handbooks approved by the board of directors.
