The board of directors recognizes that certain family emergencies in an employee’s family may require the employee to be absent from duties. Employees covered by collective bargaining agreements and/or employee handbooks will be granted leaves of absence for illness and funerals of their family members in accordance with the collective bargaining agreements and/or employee handbooks.
