The District shall provide a school counseling program for enrolled students by licensed guidance school counselors. The school counseling services will serve grades kindergarten through twelve. The program will focus on personal, educational and career development of students. The program shall be designed to coordinate with the educational program and shall involve other staff, students, parents and community members. Facilities offering both visual and auditory privacy for counseling shall be provided in each building.
The district will ensure that students in grades eleven and twelve who express interest in postsecondary education will be provided with basic information to assist in their decision-making. This information includes but may not be limited to:
- a link to the annual report published by the State Board of Regents pursuant to Iowa Code9(38); and
- a link to the Iowa Student Outcomes internet site maintained by the Department of Education.
