The board believes gifts, grants, and bequests to the school district may be accepted when they will further the interests of the school district. The board will have sole authority to determine whether the gift, grant or bequest furthers the interests of the school district.
Acceptance of all gifts, grants or bequests must be approved by the board. Once a gift, grant or bequest has been approved by the board, a board member or the superintendent may accept the gift, grant or bequest on behalf of the school district.
All gifts, grants or bequests accepted by the board on behalf of the school district become the property of the school district under the control of the board. Gifts, grants, and bequests shall be administered in accordance with the terms, if any, agreed to by the board.
