Students who wish to take courses outside of the United States for credit towards graduation from the Burlington High School must first obtain approval from the Burlington High School Principal or Director of Curriculum.
Credits will be evaluated and granted for classes taken as a foreign exchange student on the following basis:
The student must earn 48 credits to graduate from Burlington High School.
Credit hours from the host school must be approximately comparable to those given at Burlington High School.
Credits attained at the host school will not be figured in the student’s grade point average.
A transcript from the host school must be secured and sent to Burlington High School in order that credits may be evaluated and assigned.
All organizations and/or individuals, including faculty and staff, wishing to promote or solicit for study-travel tours in or through the Burlington schools must register with the office of the superintendent.
