The superintendent shall recommend to the Board of Directors the sale or other disposal of school sites and building when it is judged that a site or building is no longer necessary for the operation of the educational program. The Board of Directors shall set the terms for disposal of the site or building.
If the board desires to sell, lease for more than one year, or otherwise dispose of real property, the Board shall hold a public hearing prior to disposing of the property.
If the Board decides to demolish a building at a cost of $25,000 or more, the Board will first hold a public hearing and advertise and take bids for the demolition project.
